No Canadian English

Hello! Upgraded to W10 on my phone but it won't install the Canadian language pack for the location. WiFi or 4g. Tried rebooting. No dice. It's stuck on pending. Doing it for Cortana. Help?

It never downloads the language pack - either gives me an error or asks me to retry.

I updated to the latest update OS 10.0.10586.164

This is going to sound weird, but it worked for me.

First, you need to reset your phone (I did it by reverting to Windows 8.1, and then returning to Windows 10).
Then, download the language pack without trying to launch Cortana first.
Only after you've set all of your language and region options should you try to launch Cortana.

I have no idea why, but if you try to start Cortana before the languages are set up, it seems to block future language downloads.

I had an issue with the Canadian language pack getting stuck right after I updated. I did a hard reset of the phone and it went through with no problems after that.

When you reset - you lose all your phone data? (contacts, pictures, txts)

If you back up your data to the cloud, it will automatically be restored during the reset process.

I just set it as US.

vEEP pEEP, yes the hard reset will remove all the data so make sure that you do a backup before you go ahead and do it. After I reset I used my backup and was up and running again in no time as it just went ahead and reinstalled everything just as it was before. Some people set it up as a new phone after the hard reset but I found I didn't have to.

I did hard reset, I still cannot download English Canada language pack.

My way around was to use Phone Update ( from settings ), it should download after you use "Check for Update"

The hard reset is not the cure-all that many claim it is.

On the plus side, it looks like a fix for this is in the works.

I confirm the latest redstone update 14295.1000 fixed the problem.

Hey Cortana does not work for me - I am using the US region, Language (switched it) - English US
what am I missing? It used to work before the W10 upgrade.

I just set it as US.
