No internet with active sync

Hello,

Before when i had the treo750, i would have Internet access whenever i am connected(cable or bluetooth) to my pc thats connected to the internet. I am using a touch pro right now but i am not getting any internet when i am connected to my pc!. Is this normal? can i only access internet thru wifi or 3G but not thru activesync?? thank you very much

The phone should be able to access the Internet via the sync cable. All my computers now run Vista with Windows Mobile Device Center instead of Active Sync so I can't offer much specific help, but my guess is you have a configuration issue either with your phone or with the Active Sync app on your computer or possibly a firewall problem.

Have you tried it with any Internet Security programs you have running (firewall, antivirus) disabled?

sorry, i too am using vista WMDC. but no cigar.

Check your phone settings and also make sure you allow WMDC to connect. There's a setting to allow internet connection on WMDC.
