No notif sounds if banner is ticked off

After several tries, I've found that notification sounds--either default or custom--will not come out if you set it's notification banner to off. Notif banners will unlock a locked phone and make the screen active... making it prone to unwanted touches when you have it in your pocket or bag.

Anyone else noticing this?

Hm..haven't tried it, I always use banners.

Yes. I don't get a lot of sounds from texts which sucks cause you don't get anything on time.

Same here. If banners are disabled on lock screen, I don't get notifications.
I can disable action center on lock screen, but not banners, or else I don't get notifications.

I have the same problem on my Lumia 930.

I'm hoping for a new build this week that fixes this!
