No Notification Sound for Email Receipt

For some reason, my AT&T Gophone 640 running W10 is no longer playing the stock (Glass) notification sound I have selected when I receive emails. I've checked both Outlook and General settings and don't seem to see anything wrong. Anyone ever experience this or have any troubleshooting tips?

is the account sync working normally? you could try reconnecting it .

Are you an insider? what is the current OS build on your mobile?

have you done a soft reset? to do that hold volume down + power key until phone reboots.

So go under your email account, go to settings, NOT manage account. Look under notifications where you will most likely see "play sound" unchecked....check the box. Should be good to go.

Well, I have absolutely no clue as to why but it started working again without my doing anything???
