no sound and no video after installing anniversary update

installed anniversary update on my sp4 this morning. didn't get to do much with it afterward until I got home. Tried watching a youtube video and Edge just spins. Thought edge might still be a POS so I tried firefox, same result. Tried to watch a stream via Netflix, it just spins. tried to play a sound bite on my laptop, no sound. Tried to watch an avi file using Movie and TV and vlc player, nothing but a black screen.

anyone got a fix for this BS?

Check Device Manager for any driver errors.

yeah I checked all that, no driver issue. even tried updating the damn thing again and it said it is the latest already.

just rolled back to 10586. everything is working on 10586.

I had no sound on my SP3 after updating, video was playing but no sound on that, Groove or anything, I tried my headphones and all was OK and when I unplugged them, sound came back.

Hi buddy,
I found that this issue caused by sound drivers but don't know how to fix it. Temporary you can go to Device Manager, uninstall all sound device drivers and restart your device. Problem will be fixed but only until next time restart.
I had sent a question to MS and let them reply.
