No sound notification for new emails

Recently had to do a factory reset on my phone. Got everything reinstalled easily, but now I can not set a sound for new emails. It always reverts back to "none" for the sound.Very frustrating. I've tried setting the sound, pressing the home/start/windows button and going back to the start screen and then closing the Ringtones and Sounds screen in the multitasking view and seeing if that would keep the notification sound set. No luck. Then I tried to set the sound and turn the phone off with that screen up. Still no luck.

I'm at a loss and any help on fixing this would be great.

I had the same problem after I updated my phone. The solution is this: Go to Settings>Ringtones + Sounds. Touch the window for "New email". Find the sound you want.. Make sure that sound is displayed in the Text Box. Scroll down to the " All other notifications" checkbox. Uncheck it and then recheck the box. That should solve the issue.
