No Sound

I woke up this morning & discovered my phone now has no sound???
Iv'e checked ring tone, notifications. Tried to play music, Youtubed. Soft reset.
I do have sound from head phones.
Any ideas?? or should i pour beer all over it ;-)

I had this problem before. probably a bug in beats audio some how, or the OS. Soft resetting or rebooting worked for me always.

Very strange... After playing around & several missed calls I now have sound again???

check your apps in your background tasks list. Any apps that can use the mic?

Glad it started working again.

This is now a reoccurring problem. Sometimes it takes a few soft resets to get sound back but not today???
No apps running using the mic. Thanks for the tip.

Have you had any luck solving this problem as my htc 8x has just started doing the same thing. I have no sound from the phone but if I use bluetooth or make a call with loud speaker I can hear sound.

I have now got sound back after i took the sim card out and turned phone off/on then i put sim in and now I have sound again.. for how long I will let you when i have another sound issue

No more problems since the 26th. with the sound but I am experiencing loss of contact name on some calls & I've had to link or re link contacts.

<update> Fixed: my problem was BT transmitting to a device in a drawer. BT off, no problem.
