Hi,
I am currently subscribed to T-Mobile, but would love to be able to use the 1020 on T Mobile. I have come up with Three options so far. I would prefer a solution where I could at least have a warranty or insurance.
1. Purchase the AT&T version from the Microsoft Store and hope AT&T will unlock it. I like this option because I can purchase the insurance for it.
2. Buy an unlocked version off Amazon but be without 2G and a Warranty.
3. Take a chance on the Rogers version;which works perfectly but may encounter warranty issues.
Thanks in advance for any advice!

Get the Rogers one. I use mine when I visit the USA and love being able to use T-Mobile LTE. I've had a lot of phones and never ever had to use a warranty. I would go for the one that is easy to unlock and has all the proper bands. :)

Before you buy from AT&T you need to spend some time finding out about the "few" success stories AT&T customers have and how that happened,
and the headaches it seems most experience.
Assuming that you have already have looked into it "hoping" they will, is a big hope. Won't a new unlocked one from Amazon have a Nokia warranty or a four square warranty option ?

Nokia already covers you for a year. Should be more than enough unless you need accidental damage protection.
