Hi guys,

I'm travelling in the UK with my unlocked Nokia 521. I bought a 3 sim card and a vodafone sim card - in both cases I can only get 2g. Anyone know what I'm doing wrong? The store clerks can't figure it out.

Will any of the UK brands let me get 3g speeds? If not - will the dual sim 630 work on wind / t-mobile when i get back to north america?

Three doesn't have a 2G network, only 3G and 4G, and Vodafone have terrible 3G signal.

I would double check in sim settings that the highest connection speed is set to 3G.

Thanks for the info. Does lebara have good 3g. Will the 521 work better on any other network?

What area of the UK are you travelling in

We have many poor areas for mobile outside the towns/citys

It's best to check on the websites for o2, Vodafone, three, EE and see what covers you the best

I only get a 2g signal (no others give any signal), but walk to end of road and I could get a 4g on another network

EDIT: Hope its ok to post links here, here is a page with the network checker for the phone networks

Spending all the time in London. The 521 only does. Aws 4g and then standard 3g. I'll check out the link
