Nokia 6300 Pairing, why is there a low beeping should when I turn on the car?

Nokia 6300 Pairing

I have a Nokia 6300 phone, which I have paired to my Honda Civic. It is working ok, but when the phone is switched on in the car, it emits a low sounding beep about every twelve seconds. Is this normal.
