Nokia Apps re-branding to Lumia

Hey all,

Just wanted to gather some opinions of what Microsoft's end goal is with the changing of the application names from Nokia to Lumia.

Does anyone else think that Microsoft could be incorporating Nokia in to Microsoft and getting rid of the Nokia name moving forward, therefore we would have Microsoft devices called Lumia with Lumia applications...

I think it's a mistake to remove Nokia from anything. I can see why MS is doing it but that doesn't make it less depressing. They obviously have a plan and I wish them good luck but I also wish they would've treated the Nokia brand with more respect and continued to use it on apps. Lumia just doesn't do it for me without Nokia in front of it.

Yeah that is my thoughts as well. I mean Nokia has had its ups and downs however its a respected brand and a household name. Hopefully it doesn't vanish completely.
