the sale of goods act is not the same as a 5 year warrantyOr return it to the retailers. You have a 12 month receipt warranty but in actual fact all electrical items (in uk) is under a 5 year warranty. Google it for details but all products have a 5 year warranty
Obviously it depends on the person but I always feel that the manufacturer gives a better service than most stores (other than john Lewis perhaps) Nokia care collected my phone the next day, and I had it back, fixed within a week. They also fixed a fault that I had not noticed without question. So yeah, Nokia care uk seems to be goodOr return it to the retailers. You have a 12 month receipt warranty but in actual fact all electrical items (in uk) is under a 5 year warranty. Google it for details but all products have a 5 year warranty
My experience started out very badly but ended on a positive note. My 1520 started acting completely crazy...screen freezes, polarizing coloration, jittery images, etc. Over the course of a week, the issues became worse, so I sent it in to Dallas for repair. Eight days later, my phone was returned to me covered in deep scratches. After 4 weeks of aggravation and multiple avenues of communication, the matter was resolved....and that's all I can say. I'm happy now, though.![]()

I'm sure it's a rare occurrence, so I wouldn't be too concerned. A year ago, I sent my 920 to Dallas and it came back perfectly fine.
