I have sent my first device in under warranty, first time I have ever had to do it. I am wondering what have your experiences been with Nokia Care? Also, any insights to Microsoft Warranty services since now its one company.

It depends region to region. Here in my country it's acceptable service. They do repair the device but at time they just blame that your device won't be serviced under warranty because in our test we found some water droplets /internal dam sage which is not covered in our warranty policy. Not sure how well it is improved after the Microsoft deal :smile:

Hi there...

I sent a Lumia 521 to Nokia here in the US.
My experience was very good.
Nokia provides 2nd day shipping to and from.
Phone was repaired with 5 days and returned to me in perfect working order.

**BTW
This phone had the developer preview on it.
I used care suite to return the phone to 8.0
Nokia said nothing about having had 8.1 installed.
There was absolutely no cost to me for repairing the screen on a 9 month old phone.

Best of luck there :smile:

Or return it to the retailers. You have a 12 month receipt warranty but in actual fact all electrical items (in uk) is under a 5 year warranty. Google it for details but all products have a 5 year warranty

Obviously it depends on the person but I always feel that the manufacturer gives a better service than most stores (other than john Lewis perhaps) Nokia care collected my phone the next day, and I had it back, fixed within a week. They also fixed a fault that I had not noticed without question. So yeah, Nokia care uk seems to be good

I'll get it back today, so I am hoping all is fixed. I got it off eBay, so I am using Nokia Care for the warranty rather a carrier store.

I had a creaking issue with the casing of my Lumia 920. Went to Nokia Care for a check/repair. I only had to wait one day which wasn't too bad. But after around a week the issue came back. Ended up getting a replacement. Overall, experience with Nokia Care was pretty positive. Staff were friendly and pretty knowledgeable.

My experience started out very badly but ended on a positive note. My 1520 started acting completely crazy...screen freezes, polarizing coloration, jittery images, etc. Over the course of a week, the issues became worse, so I sent it in to Dallas for repair. Eight days later, my phone was returned to me covered in deep scratches. After 4 weeks of aggravation and multiple avenues of communication, the matter was resolved....and that's all I can say. I'm happy now, though. 😊

@clvrbas
I'm sure it's a rare occurrence, so I wouldn't be too concerned. A year ago, I sent my 920 to Dallas and it came back perfectly fine.
