Hi all,

I have a small question and I hope you can assist me. I am about to go for a Nokia Lumia 630 and I would like to know if City Lens is compatible with the device. I know Lumia 630 lacks a proximity and ambient light sensors but do not know regarding the compass.
Also, how well does the screen sensor works turning off the screen while on a call? Does this function works when using 3erd party apps as Skype or Viber?

Thanks!

After a quick google search, I found the answer to your question about City Lens and the Lumia 630: FAQ - FAQ - Why is there no HERE City Lens in my Lumia 520, 521, 525, 526, 625 or 1320 phone? Can I download it in App Store? - Nokia - India
The answer is yes it does have it since it isn't in that list.

As for how well the phone call situation works without a proximity sensor, I have only used it a bit and it seemed fine to me. I never used third-party apps to make calls while playing with the 630 I have access to. Hopefully someone else can reply and give you information on that.

Sorry, this is incorrect. I have a Lumia 635 (same as 630 but with 4G) and there is no compass, so City Lens does not work. I am pretty sure it will not work on the 630 either.

For your first question,
City lens isn't compatible with L630 as it requires compass which isn't available in L630.

Second question,
I don't use those (Skype and Viber) apps ,so I can't say anything about that .But sensor works great with normal phone call.

Nokia city lens is not compatible with lumia 630 and without proximity sensor 3rd party apps are nightmare its almost impossible to use on screen buttons when you are on skype or viber calls, the screen will automatically shut down and you wont be able to use on screen buttons while on call on viber or skype, even you cant turn off the call,
