Nokia Icon / 929 UK Release

Any new on when the Nokia Icon / 929 will be available on UK contracts? I am due an upgrade soon and dont see why i should make do with the non HD 925.

If MS/Nokia are going to make the better products exclusive to the US then i think i might ditch Windows Phone and head on over to IOS or Android,:angry: which would be a shame because i have found WP 8 to be a far better OS if a little unstable.

ev leaks posted that there will be a nokia conference on the 19th of april and to expect a nokia 930 device to be announced for international markets ...... an icon with a 4.5" screen is a possibility ;-)

I prefer the specs of the 929 and the look of the phone, i dont see why I should be looking to get a phone which isnt 1080p these days.

Based on my advise the company i ork for has migrated all there company handset from BB to WP8 i hope i don't start to regret recommending WP8.

All i can say is come on MS get your finger out and show some appreciation to the UK supporters, the Z2 is looking mighty tempting at the min!!

you wont get a 929 its a verzion exclusive just like the 928 was , from what ev leaks is saying there will be a 1080p 5" or 4.5" 20mp phone probably the upgrade path from the 920 on the 19th april? so I don't see why you are complaining isn't that what you are asking for or am I misunderstanding you?

the z2 does look nice but it isn't much different to the z1 and if the camera is the same ....... then no thanks ;-) also other things that will be better on a nokia flagship , out door screen readability , speakers , aerial signal strength , call quality , sat nav maps , audio recording quality , wireless charging , ois in the camera , carl zeis lens ..... these are just some of the things that nokia do better then others as well as great support and great exclusive apps ;-)

I didn't read in the rumors about the next wave of phones supposed to be unveiled on 19th April that they would have 1080p, 2gb RAM and the same processor as 929.

You dont need to tell me how much the WP8 phone have going for them, it amazes me that the Here Maps and Here Drive aren't shouted about more by Nokia /MS as they are outstanding apps and have made my dedicated satnav device redundant.

I just have no patients and want to upgrade asap
