Benchmarking mobile maps – Nokia Conversations : the official Nokia blog

Check the link on the description. I really really want Nokia maps to come to all Windows devices, I get lost a lot.

Half of these stats won't make an impression on the average consumer. Very ineffective marketing. Disappointing.

I played around with iOS 6 on my iPad 2 yesterday. Did you know that downtown San Jose is in India? I was stunned by this, as a resident of the Bay Area. :D

Hahaha yeah. I'm reading some of the complains.

"
Some towns appear to be missing, such as Stratford-upon-Avon and Solihull.

Others, like Uckfield in East Sussex, are in the wrong location.

Satellite images of various locations, particularly in Scotland, are obscured by cloud.

A search for Manchester United Football Club directs users to Sale United Football Club, a community team for ages five and above.

Users also reported missing local places, such as schools, or strange locations. Another screenshot showed a furniture museum that was apparently located in a river."

They are grasping at straws yeah.

I wonder what the reaction would be if Sammy or Cupertino put out a comparison chart with "?" in every cell for Nokia 920, with items like:

Pricing On Contract
Unlocked Pricing
Carriers
Warranty
Accessories

Comparison charts mean nothing if the product that "wins" in them isn't available to buy.

I'm pretty sure the warranty is standard one year. Accessories, I think on the Nokia site it says what's in the box.

You forgot "availability" though.

I'm convinced that someone from Google has infiltrated Apple's top management and is making them do stupid things. :D

Here is one of the I-565/Memorial Parkway interchange in otherwise beautiful Huntsville, Alabama.

I agree. However, Nokia isn't talking to the average consumer in that blog. Average consumers wont read blogs anyway. That post was made on behalf of people like us. We can use it as a basis for discussions with family and friends. It gives us a lot of numbers that we wouldn't otherwise have, helping us argue more effectively and convince people WP's navigation solutions (which come with all WP devices, not just Nokia's) are superior. That is what it that post is about!
