Nokia Lumia 520.2 wont show anything on screen

today i wanted to try and boot up my nokia lumia 520.2 that i stopped using in a long time, since the power button was broken i used the charger to try and turn it on, but the screen wont show anything, the phone is alive since it vibrates whenever i plug it in, it just dosent seem to turn the screen on.
