Nokia Lumia 520 randomly going on silent

Nokia lumia phone keeps randomly going on silent after 1 day if im not using it (i think) but why is it doing this? is it something on my settings or is it a bug and defect? Its causing me problems as i cannot hear calls and text messages etc..
any help? thanks

It is a bug. Turn Cortana off and then update all your apps. I couldn't figure out which one was causing the issue but I did that on my 810 and it seems to be working fine now.
