Nokia Lumia 720 Questions ? Amber & Here Drive

While on vacation in Thailand I purchased a Lumia 720 to eventually replace my beloved Lumia 800. I have a couple of questions that I haven?t seen answered anywhere here.

First, since I have a Thai variant L720 in the U.S., and the U.S. doesn?t have a variant of this phone, will I still be able to receive the Amber update OTA (assuming it will eventually be available for the 720) while in the states? Any thoughts?

Second, I immediately purchased the global license for Here Drive. When looking at my purchase history at windowsphone.com there is nothing listed for the global license I purchased (though it is active on my phone). I wonder if this is something I can transfer later if by chance I buy another Lumia with only Here Drive and not Here Drive+, or whether this license will be forever attached with this particular phone?

You will get OTA updates as soon as they are made available for phones intended for the Thailand market. As for the Here Drive license, I thought that all Nokia phones came with a global license but non-Nokia phones only came with a regional license. I honestly don't know if the license can be transferred to another device but I'd suspect that it can't. I could be wrong on this so it would be best for you to check to ToS for your purchase of the global license.

Maps and Drive work perfectly. I am just curious in the case that I have to do a hard reset will I have to repurchase the global navigation license since it does not show up on my windowsphone.com account for purchase history. I just want to be sure before I would flash/hard reset. Is there anyone who has purchased the global navigation license and then did a hard reset?

Here maps suddenly stopped working on my Lumia 720 with no apparent reason. Whenever I click on Here maps, it doesn't open
