Only annoying thing I've noticed with my 735 is the speaker hissing noise. Very annoying as the actual speaker itself is great quality.

I have a constant static noise when the speaker is active. Had the same issue with the 820 (returned) and 620 (i dont care, it was cheap), but it will make me return the 730. Is that a general problem or are there any devices out there without that static noise?

A whole lot of users across the globe are facing this issue ( including me)... So probably it's a software thing that can be resolved by Microsoft via OTA

Can you guys give me suggestions to choose either microSD Sandisk or Samsung. They both have different read/write speed. Does it matter? 32MB/s or 40MB/s as far as I know. CMIIW. Thank you

Tap to wake up randomly fails.

Tapping hard, lightly, slow, or fast, none of them wakes the phone. It's annoying.

I am using Samsung EVO class 10 and it works fine. more than read/write, what matters is random access speeds.

yeah, Lumia 730 has buggy double tap to wake specially when the phone is left unused for some time, follow this dedicated thread and also post there so that the visibility of this problem increases: http://forums.windowscentral.com/no...le-tap-wake-up-my-phone-working-properly.html

It's my 3rd day of my new Lumia 730 & I'm facing screen flickering/blinking problem in my lumia 730 screen and aslo my screen gets blurred for 2 sec when i minimize any app...
My all songs are copying twice thrice times when i listen it on XBOX Music / Mix Radio....App....My lumia 730 hangs & flickers most of the times when i listen songs in Mix Radio... Double Tap to wake is not working at all when my phone is connected to charging. 've searched for the solution of these above problems on google and its very surprising to find that most of the #Lumia_730 owners are going through these issues.... !!
've tried all things Soft reset, Hard reset, Disabled Auto brightness, Disabled Sun Readable mode etc. etc. On 1st day of my purchase it worked great smooth and fast but after updating preinstalled application [ Like - Skype, facebook, flipkart, sports, XBOX Music, Mix Radio, Maps and Gps apps & all Lumia editing and camera apps etc etc ], as a suggestion in Windows Store app this above listed problem started to occur.
Any solution to fix my problems ??

Nokia Lumia 730 annoying

Hello everyone,
I have the Lumia 730 for almost a month now and i have the same issues that you guys mentioned in this thread.
The double tap wake-up (mal)function (which is not that important compared to the next issue)
And the random reboot or crash that forces you to remove and put back the battery.
I've had about 6 reboots/crashes so far (in about a month!!!) out of which 2 were more serious (battery removal needed).
The reboots were random and cannot be linked to a certain app or combination of commands.
The crashes:
1. Full HD recording with Kingston MicroSDHC 16GB class 10 UHS-I as recording location. After finishing recording i pressed the record button again to complete the video. It froze and didn't respond to touches. I tried bringing the notification bar down and it worked but only half-way down. It froze again, vibrating endlessly. I had to remove the battery.
2. Wrote a Merry Christmas message and started adding new numbers to the recipients list. It crashed after having added 3 or 4 numbers and nothing worked until i removed the battery.

I tried to reproduce the bugs/crashes but i couldn't reproduce any of them. They're just random and it's annoying because you don't know what to avoid.
I'm starting to get kind of pissed about the whole situation. I really like the phone(hardware wise at least) but the software desperately needs an update.

To guys with the reboot issue:
May be they produced some faulty batch? What is your phone's date of manufacturing? Mine is 26/10/2014 (Lumia 730)

Heck, my first 925 had a "reboot problem" way back in November 2013. So far (fingers crossed) I haven't had the issue with my new 735 or my 830.

I don't think it has anything to do with batches. The "reboot problem" is common across the 930, 830 and 735/730 line of Lumias.
So why just we complaining? I don't think Nokia/MS could release such a buggy handset(s).

I don't think all devices are affected

If you actually take a few minutes to check the other forums, you will see, in fact, that not only does the 730/735 have this "problem" but also the 830 and 930.

Man, I totally agree with you, it looks like a software problem. But why are the other users don't have such a problem?

It's a software issue. The only way I've got around it is a complete firmware flash. Folks who aren't familiar with the process can also perform a hard reset instead. Also make sure you format your card on a PC on the exFAT format. Cards less than 32GB get formatted with the FAT32 format when done by the phone making it difficult to store files greater than 4GB
