Nokia Lumia 820 Music Transfer

Anyone else finding transferring music onto the 820 messy? Im missing Zune!

I can't transfer any files including music from my windows 8 pc to my Lumia 820. The app is installed and my sd card recognized but fails everytime with any format of music file including mp3. Any ideas?

Yes it's not the friendliest - I have tried with both the Win 8 Desktop and Metro apps...
I don't really like either.

Help! I can't transfer music to my 820. Just get error code 800706bf when i try and access music after phones synced. Any ideas?

My final thoughts are the 820 is great but syncing music is pants even with windows 8.

Damn, say it ain't so! I thought the one thing they would have sorted is music transfer. Does Xbox Music get downloaded to the device or SD Card by default and can it be changed?

The Music app on the phone to total garbage. You can't transfer ANY music you downloaded to your old phone UNLESS you paid for it. Today on my 820 I had numerous issues just adding songs to songs that were already playing. When I tap+held the song title one of two things would happen: nothing (i.e. no contextual menu for doing anything with the song) OR it started playing the song and lost everything I had already been playing. I finally gave up and re-booted the phone manually. This app is horrid.
