I have a Nokia Lumia 635 AT&T variant and I like it but no flash, glance and double tap to wake is a deal breaker for me so I am wondering is it worth buying the Nokia Lumia 925?

Your best choice would be a Lumia 830. But, if you're looking for a less expensive option, the Lumia 925 is perfect. It has AMOLED screen with Glance support (930's AMOLED is not Glance capable). You can also check the Lumia 820, which is even cheaper than 925 and it has basically the same innards.

As long as you do not update to 8.1 it is ok. MS is still working, I hope, to the freezing issue affecting 925 and 1020 on 8.1

Gotcha. Which variants is this problem common to? I can settle for an unlocked Nokia Lumia 620 though its a slight downgrade.

I think the Nokia Lumia 925 may be my best bet.

Is the AMOLED Display really good? Also how long does the battery last?

The AMOLED screen is beautiful and sharp with vivid colors. Battery life is great I get 24 hours with moderate/high usage (Bluetooth, talking for about 2 hours a day, texting, & web browsing). The 8.1 update really improved battery life. I love my 925 T-Mobile USA variant.

Good enough I also have a 930 and if I compare them side by side the 930 wins. But the 925 is certainly not bad.
About battery I can not really say something because I charge it with a QI . I have several qi chargers also one in my car so it "always" is topped off.

That's cool. I'll definitely consider purchasing one from eBay once I sell my iPhone 5C. It's a better fit as I wanted the Nokia Lumia 1320 but the size looks more cumbersome as I mainly use Windows Phones for mainly calls, texts and a little bit of web surfing

just make sure you don't update to 8.1 just yet, not even Cyan. Most 925 and 1020 users reported freezing while in standby, or reboots.

I would say it also depends on whether you are buying your next device outright or through subsidized contract.

I have the 930 and the 925 and they are awesome.
My 925 have cyan and it's on P4D with the latest update and never had any issues. The c?mera is great and the screen is vivid and sharp and lets face it the design of the 925 is gorgeous.
But if you can afford The 930 don't think twice

Not true never had any problem with my 925 on cyan.
Same here. I was considering moving to a 930, but seeing all the bugs it has vs the almost-no-bug on my 925, I think I will stay with my 925 until something decent comes from MS.

What about all the overheating and purple screen issues on 930? are you having some of them?

The Lumia 925 is a solid choice. I ordered a 920 from amazon at a good price (Less than $150). Before buying this I was thinking of getting a 620 but I found that there were just as many features as compromises. The 620 has a smaller screen (only 3.8"), no FM Radio and a slower processor and no Corning Gorilla Glass as well as no LTE. I would say the only problem with a 920/925 would be the lack of an SD Card slot which is present on the 635. If you are trying to decide between the Lumia 920 and 925, the following differences must be noted.

Lumia 925 over 920- Much lighter and thinner, aluminum body, and an extra optical lens (6 Lenses vs 5 on the 920)
Lumia 920 over 925- 32 GB of storage versus 16 GB.

I almost chose the 925 due to the sleeker appearance and slightly better camera but considering that I will not be able to expand the internal storage I went for a 920 for the 32 GB of storage.

Keep on reading about the freezing issues. I've had my 925 on 3UK since May this year. Updated to 8.1 in August. Never had any issues with the phone at all. Love it.
