I actually meant to say that I have a Lumia 820 (RM-824) and I wanted to flash a Lumia 820 rom. When I tried flashing the (RM-825) that I got it shows an error.

0xFA001304: Platform ID check fails. Reason(s): The FFU file is not meant for this product. The platform ID of image does not match with Platform ID of the device.



Is there a way I can flash this RM-825 rom on my lumia? my reference is RM-824 firmware is for carrier At&t but it is unlocked.

Remove all the characters before RM-821. For example, remove B1E09708_ for this file, so the name becomes RM-821......vpl

I flashed it ok. And this is the directory content that I have.
Try close and reopen the NCS and do it again after you get the files renamed. NCS will re-scan your package.

Thanks a lot man ! works perfectly on my first try, did read a lot though, just in case my lumia 920 was on rogers unlocked rom rm-820 and put this one (rm-821).
Thanks again now im restoring my phone from my backup.

for some of the people recieving messages such as unable to connect, unable to display error etc. Read the instructions thoroughly. I had the same problem, it was because I was making an assumption to plug the phone in at the wrong time. You do not need to plug the phone in until connection suite is on the recovery screen telling you to hold volume down and power. Make sure your phone displays the exclamation mark ( recovery mode ) at this point you plug your phone in. Wait 30 seconds or so and then press retry.

I can't fret enough, please check out the 820 thread I have, this is for 920 only.

My time and date was also incorrect, set it to network and it was fine

mmm i was having some troubles when i was trying to download apps from my backup so i did a hard reset, now i cant connect at the beggining with my microsoft account and i think i've lost my back up, any ideas why this could be?

yes, i do have the thing is that the first time that i flash my lumia i was able to sign in with my microsoft account, but now nothing , i tried to flash again but still nothing =(


PS: after several attemps, finally i was able to sign in and restore my backup, i just hope that i can fully restored all my apps and games and connection error free. ( the first time i was getting unable to connect ... troubles)
