I have been looking at Health and Fitness related apps and the built-in sensors.
Nokia Lumia Icon is supposed to have SensorCore besides the others according to specification sheets. These are the sensors for Lumia Icon (Ambient light sensor, Accelerometer, Proximity sensor, Gyroscope, Magnetometer, SensorCore) and I have a whole list for other Nokia Windows phones on my blogs.
Now if I run the Bing/MSN Health and Fitness app, I can only use the Tracking part of this app and I cannot use the counting of steps you take during walking or running.
I am also a app developer and I tried the sample application (an HTML5 Hello from Development site) and I get a message that "Failure: SenseNotAvailable". Looking in further I downloaded the Steps app that uses Lumia SensorCore and when I try to run the app I get a message that "Your device does not support Motion Data".
Now the problem reduces to two:
1. Is it because the OS is preview that I am getting this message?
2. What else I need to make it work?
