Is it just me or has Nokia just kind of gone overboard with all the different model #s for the Lumias? I know that the naming conventions are indicative of the class of phone, with 5x0, 6x0, 7x0, and 8x0 representing the lower end models and 9x0, 10x0, and soon to be 13x0 (5"), 15x0 (6"), and 25x0 (10" tablet) on the higher end.

There needs to be a streamlining of this. People understand anything with Note to mean "phablet" thanks to Samsung, why can't Nokia figure out a similar/better way to market their phones via the name itself? I mean, the Lumia part is fine, but it needs a simpler way to tell non-techie customers that 'phone A' is the newest on the market or the next gen of that phone or even just a differently sized model (mini vs note/tab). Just from what I've seen/experienced from is the the three digit # has no significance with customers like Galaxy *S4* or *Note 3*, it's just another phone.

It could be worse. BlackBerry had all sorts of numbering conventions just for the Curve line: 83xx, 85xx, 89xx, 93xx, etc.

I lost track around the 925, 928 timeline. After that it just became an avalanche of numbers to me.

I agree though, it needs some sort of streamlining.
