Not able to send/receive messages in WhatsApp (640XL)

[Windows Central Question]

WhatsApp was working absolutely fine just an hour ago, suddenly it stopped receiving any messages nor I am able to send any. Internet connection is absolutely fine. I tried to reboot the phone and also reinstall whatsapp many times, but no use. Even using mobile data, messages are not sent. After typing the message and pressing send button, nothing happens, that message doesn't appear in the conversation at all... Someone please help me..

WhatsApp version : 2.12.276

This looks like a software bug. I would suggest doing this:

1) backup you messages using the WhatsApp backup feature
2) uninstall WhatsApp
3) restart phone
4) clean temporary files using storage sense
5) reinstall WhatsApp and restore from backup

Did as you instructed, but the problem is still not solved.

Well that's unfortunate. I really cannot think anything outside of treating it as a software bug.
