Not getting Skype notifications

Hello everyone, I am using Lumia 520 cyan update.. I have problem with Skype. Unless I keep the app open, I don't get calls/messages on Skype.. I mean I don't get notification about calls and messages.. Is it only for me? If so, how do I fix this?

Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app? The first time you sign in you should get a popup asking if you will let the app give you notifications outside of having the app open on the screen.

Yes I did that.. But it actually started giving notifications after I pinned it to start screen.. Still crashes alot
