Notification centre

Isn't there any way to clear live tile when I swipe away notification from notification centre? I don't want to go and read each and every article when the preview clearly shows it is about something I am not interested in. The same way we can do for messages etc.

I guess The only option would be : Tap on the tile once and let the Tile know that you have read it

But most apps seems to clear tile on swipe. Is it limited to only system apps vs third party apps?

when i clear the whatsapp notifications, the live tile still shows all the notifications. I have to open the app and let know it that i read all the new messages.

Ms should improve the notification center.

Has Microsoft offered an explanation why only system apps are allowed certain privileges? This makes sense when it comes to areas in the OS that require more security, but a UI feature like this should be available to all application. Seems counter-intuitive for a company looking to increase market share to hamstring developers in this way.
