Notification Problems

I'm having problems with notifications across the board. Almost every single app I have works great, live tiles, toast notifications, but then starts to falter, and stop giving me updates after a month or so and I have to hard reset the phone. This happens most notably with the Facebook App. Has anyone run into this kind of problem? I own a Lumia 928.

I have a Lumia 1020 and it's always had notification problems with apps, especially FaceBook. It's the one thing that's putting me off staying with WP8.
