Notification tones

I know I can download ring tones but does anyone know if notification tones can be downloaded or just the stock ones?

Yes for texts, IM, voicemail, and email, but not for toast notifications, reminders, camera shutter, lock/unlock, or key press.

I thought we couldn't download text tones. Thought we could only download ring tones for the 920.

If you look in the sound settings, you can select any of the ringtones for a text. Save it as a ringtone, and set your text sound to it. You can't have a distinct text sound per person, but you can change the text sound.

I don't see it. I went into my settings then sounds. I already downloaded ringtones. That I see. But no text/IM tones other than the stock ones show up.

I tried it on mine and I don't see it either I don't think its possible at this point.

That's what I thought. Bummer. I miss having a different text tone. The stock ones annoy me.
