Any body hard any news if ms changed the notifications on wp8? That was the biggest let down when using wp7.
Yea I agree but the live tiles are scattered. I want all notifications for every single app in the me hub. Most of the apps don't use the lives tiles very well. Whatsapp should flip and show who the message is from, instead it does a number like some ios copy.
Ya I think the smaller live tiles will remedy this some. Any way I can't wait for wp8. When I was on at&t I had the titan, when I switched to Verizon I purchased an android because I felt the trophy was outdated spec wise. I can't wait to get back on Windows phone.
I have a nexus too and hate it...battery life is just horrible. Can't wait for a nice wp8 phone on VerizonI've moved on from the Trophy to a Galaxy Nexus but will be coming back to Windows Phone as soon as the WP8 devices are released. I like having a device that will be updated pretty much straight from the manufacturer and WP runs much more smoothly than Android. I'm also impressed by the fact that Windows Phone doesn't need bleeding edge tech to run without stuttering.

Trophy user here. I'm not sure if it's just the Trophy, or all Windows phones but I would like to have an Androidesque notification light. That was so nice being able to leave the screen off and knowing if you had a new email/text/missed call etc.
Nokia said:Thank you for emailing the Nokia USA Careline.
In response to your inquiry, we would like to inform you that as of the moment Nokia is yet to create a phone that supports Windows 8 operating system. As well as an LED light notification for texts/calls and PureView.
Kindly be informed that we will treat your email as a suggestion to improve our products and services. The comments you have made will not go unnoticed and we will strive to ensure that every effort is made to assure our customers of the level of commitment available.
The LED on HTC phones only lights up for missed calls. There's nothing for texts or emails. That's the way it is for the Trophy at least.LED notifications is one thing I wish Nokia would adopt. I believe all or at least some HTC Windows Phones have LED notifications.
The functionality is built in to WP7 since it exists on HTC phones. It's just a matter of the manufacturers implementing it.

I agree that the battery life of the Galaxy Nexus is terrible. I have the Samsung extended battery but still have to turn off LTE to make it through the day, and sometimes that's not even enough. I had the Galaxy S III for about 10 days and the battery life was much better but I just hated having a manufacturer's skin on top of the OS. It made finding options and settings harder to find and in most cases it introduces bugs and delays updates (which is already a problem for any phone on Verizon). All in all, WP8 can't come soon enough for me as an Apple device is no longer an option for me after seeing their practice of suing every competitor over the most generic of patents.
As others have said, I'd love to see an LED notification light implemented. That is one feature that I would truly miss when I do leave Android.
