"Now Playing" Artist Image on the Lockscreen is Back!!

While trying to solve a problem with a friends XboxMusic #LiveTile not working, we discovered that the "Now Playing" artist image on the lockscreen functionality has been restored. To enable it, you will need to soft reset your phone (power+vol down for 10 secs). Try it for yourselves.

Note: I have the latest Music update ( v. 2.6.318.0), and have the option to show artist image enabled on my lock screen settings.

And also the change in background of music app happens only when you are listening to songs online doesn't works with offline out those stored in phone memory

Didn't want to burst your bubble but that option had always been there since WP 8.1 was released. The artist lock screen image background was enabled a few updates ago (more than a month)

The artist lock screen image hasn't worked until today after a soft reset my phone. The Live Tile image has worked since the update you are talking about.

Does it work for songs other than those from Xbox Music? It doesn't seem to for me.

The artist lock screen image hasn't worked until today after a soft reset my phone. The Live Tile image has worked since the update you are talking about.

Surprisingly mine had always been working. Either way glad it's working for you

The now playing image only works if your song is matches a track in Xbox's Music 30 million track catalogue and also only works when the phone is connected (the artist images are not cached locally but downloaded every time you play a song).

Have you tried a soft reset, or going to Settings >LockScreen and toggling the "Show Artist Image" off then on again?

Yes I did all that and it didn't work... Are you running WP 8.1 or WP 8.1 gdr1??
