Odd Question in relation to clipboard

My SB is on order, but I have a question on how does the opening at the hinge section when the tablet it reversed and closed for inking notes etc? If you have the clipboard I. portrait mode for inking is angle produced by the hinge noticeable as your write?

I am guessing that you have not yet seen a Surface Book in the flesh. The hinge is not as thick as many photos make it out to be. Yes, there is an incline if you have the full device (screen and base) in portrait orientation. But it is a similar incline to a bound notebook and not noticeable to me. In fact, I'd say it's fairly nice to have that very slight incline. I don't have a protractor handy, but I would guess it's less than 5 degrees of incline.
