On-Screen keyboard doesnt work properly

Hi All,

I just got my Lumia 950 Dual Sim (2 days back) and so far I loved the features and appearance. However, I am getting frustrated with the continuous reboots and on-screen keyboard issues.

When I am trying to type in whats app or Skype (I havent tested other apps yet), the keyboard hangs and then it goes down. I have to keep clicking on the message space and then after a while either it comes up works for sometime and goes down again (unresponsive) or the phone gets restarted. I need to say that I am a bit frustrated with this as this is happening with a frequency of less than 2 minutes. I tried the basic troubleshooting steps of soft reset (volume down + power), but still same.

Is anyone else facing similar problem or is it only me?

Note - I am a Lumia user for the past 3 years and just upgraded to 950 from 920.

Update -

The problem continued to exist, I spoke to MS customer care they said, since it is a new device (less than 4 days) so it can be replaced without asking any questions. I approached MS service centre as per the retail dealer's suggestion, they did some checks and finally gave me a replacement letter.

I got my new phone again, it is working perfectly fine. However, I noticed and somehow managed to fix the same problem which was on the other handset. The problem seems to be with the keyboard settings, I remember setting Hindi keyboard on the old phone (not literally hindi, but English keyboard with hindi features), I have been using the same on my Lumia 920 and never faced a problem. However, this time also I switched to Hindi keyboard and within 10 minutes the problem resurfaced, keyboard disappeared for a while and phone rebooted. This time, I immediately changed the keyboard back to English India and then deleted all the other Keyboard versions from settings, rebooted my phone again...that solved the problem.

Its been 2 days now, no reboot and no keyboard issues. Other facing this type of issue can do the same and see if that helps or not.

Thanks:
Anil
