I'm probably going to buy the Surface 3 (again).
I've been a Microsoft 365 subscriber for a few years now. With the purchase, you get a free year subscription.
Does that mean they will add a free year to what I already have?....or is that offer only for potentially new subscribers?

I've tried googling for the answer, but can't find it.

Thanks,
BF

It will extend your subscription out to a year and not add to existing time. At least that's what it did when I had a return and activated my new one.

I was worried they would detected the return and cancel the subscription so I just did it again on the new device.

In my case I had office 365 Home (5 user licence) and it gave me a choice of either converting to Personal (1 user licence) and adding twelve months extension or adding nine months to my Home licence.
