OneDrive Integration?

Apologies if this has already been asked - I did scan through the first four pages in the WP 8.1 sub-forum and couldn't see anything similar.

I updated my Lumia 920 to the 8.1 Preview today and decided to show a friend a screengrab as a means of tempting him to do the same (it worked), but when I went to the image to upload it to OneDrive there was no option to do so. It doesn't show up under the ellipsis on its own, nor does it appear in the list when I tap 'share'. I checked other images in other folders, and had the same issue everywhere. After my friend updated his 1020 I asked him to check too and he also doesn't have the option.

I have checked the OneDrive app and it is updated and I'm signed in, though I don't see how that should affect the OS-level integration anyway. Does anyone else have the option to share/upload to OneDrive in 8.1? Am I missing something? In the end I had to email myself the picture as an attachment and then download it on my laptop. I should also point out that I don't have auto-upload to OneDrive enabled, as I don't want to upload every photo I take.

I must admit I'm as frustrated as I am satisfied so far with my 8.1 experience; My Me Tile is now basically worthless as it no longer updates content from FaceBook or Twitter, Xbox Music has been utterly ruined, and I now can't upload images to OneDrive. Social networking, music and photos are my three main uses for my phone, so if anyone can help me resolve these issues I will be most grateful.

OneDrive needs an upgrade for total integration.

But you can upload pictures to OneDrive from the Picture hub, you need to create a Room in the people hub and you can "share" any picture form the picture hub.

Do you mean an update is available, or simply that it needs to be updated?

How do you go about creating a room in the hub? I've had a look through the Picture Hub settings and can't find anything. It seems like a fudge to fix something that didn't need removing though - why take away the ability to upload to OneDrive directly from the image itself? I can jump into the OneDrive app and quickly upload an image, so all is not lost, but it's not as quick and easy as it previously was.

I don't understand why it's gone.

I mean that the OneDrive app must be updated soon or later, there is not any new update yet.

Go to People hub, move to the right until the Rooms and Group page, click the "+" button and create a new room with only you as member, name the room as you like.

No, go to pictures hub, click the picture or pictures you want to upload to OneDrive and select the share button (to the left of the garbage can), select the room and your pictures will be uploaded to OneDrive in a folder named the same that your room's name.

Thanks, I've just done that. It's certainly an easier way than uploading them one by one in the OneDrive app. It's still a bizarre choice to remove the option from the Picture Hub, but hopefully it'll get patched back in at some point.

Thanks again.
