And as such, it is out the 32-bit stack just for itself. Does anyone know if it will continue to be 32-bit for a long time?
 
Honestly I'm not sure. Your best indication is to see whether they keep this on the Windows 10 Technical Preview or whether they're moving it over to 64-bit. I'd be inclined to say it would stay as it is at 32-bit for a while as its a multi-platform service and running different versions (32-bit and 64-bit) across different platforms will slow development speed.

​They could easily cut off 32-bit support for OS X, most people using a Mac have a 64-bit computer. Also, it is 32-bit on Windows 10 at this point.
