Windows 10 anniversary on both machines.

Is it possible and/or a good idea to use onedrive to sync my laptop and desktop's My Documents directory?

I am the only person that uses these machines and never at the same time so, no risk of conflicts.

I know fetch files is available from the website but, syncing My Documents seems like seamless way to go.

I have already moved the My Documents directory on my laptop (my primary machine) to Onedrive. Would I just need to copy my desktop My Documents directory to onedrive then move the desktop directory to the onedrive directory as well?

Yes. You can sync. It's fine with no conflicts.

Let it sync on the desktop first and then when the "My documents" location shows up under onedrive in file explorer, set THAT location as your my documents on the desktop.
