Only 1 week with WP8 and .... disappointed.....????

The posts that bum me the most, are the guys that have had a high post count, a few WP devices and have tried to love the o/s "but just can't do it anymore". It's for those guys I want WP to go beyond.

Yep, I dig it. The only way to improve is to identify flaws, fix them, and hope it sticks. You're completely right in those folks, its going to be very hard to get them back (even after fixing everything they wanted) when they're used to turning on device X and its doing what they wanted, today.
