Option to choose browser..

Why Microsoft doesn't allow us to choose browser to open something? If I try to open any file in browser it just opens in IE without giving us any option..I want to open those in UC or Maxthon but alas we are not allowed..I don't get this..

We just don't have the option, whether by oversight or just being a low priority.
Like iOS.
