Original Band price back to $99 again in the Microsoft Store

Someone mentioned it in a post on the WC Band 2 forum yesterday.

I wonder if it will be another limited time offer like the the last time it was at $99 during the Columbus Day weekend.

Having recently (October 2nd or there about) bought into Band 1 at $149...

I wish I would have waited just a bit and saved $50. But it is a great device. I bought it while on a road trip and a Microsoft store was where I was. It definitely is very useful. I can't see it staying $99 forever. I don't think there is $150 difference between 1 and 2...

One would expect a permanent price drop once Band 2 was in stock. I'm thinking this one will stick. I'm not sure if MS is still making Band 1 or if this is just inventory being cleared out. I'd expect the price to drop again to "close out" once MS runs out of certain sizes.

I'd say that Band 1 is about 75%-80% of Band 2 - which is to say that I don't see a $149 price difference either.

You are probably right about this current sale. Right now, Amazon is selling the Band for $119. Best Buy for $129. If it was a permanent price cut, they wouldn't leave the retailers stranded.

One interesting thing I noticed when doing web searches - the original Band and Band 2 are not available on the walmart.com site yet. I haven't checked if either band is in their bricks and mortar stores. At $249, the Band 2 might be on the high side for the usual Walmart retail customers but Walmart sells the Fitbit Surge on their web site.

Wow, the Best Buy site is strange. First, all the pictures of Band 1 has been changed to show the Band 2 default aqua color, not the Band 1's purple. Secondly is the pricing: $199.99 for small, $129.99 for medium, and $199.99 for large. smh.

Lol confused.

I bought a band Sunday for $99.

I think at that price it's an amazing device.

Sadly im using it paid to an awful android os device until my beloved lungs is finally released.

I honestly can't justify the 150 price jump. I don't feel enough of an upgrade to do that at this time.

By the way the battery life without screen on alk times is ridiculous.

I wear all day and all night and never dip below 80% over 24 hrs.
