"other" storage space

I've dealt with "other" storage on previous phones, but I'm up to 7.2 GB which is over half my phones available storage. That's just ridiculous. Is there anything I can do about this besides a hard reset?

Have you run the Storage Clean app on your phone.

Make sure you restart your phone after the app has run.

Yes. It made no difference. It seems like the more space I clear the more other fills up.

It sounds like you may have some apps that you're downloading info in. Have you been using supertube, audible, kindle, or similar apps that save videos, music, audiobooks, podcasts, ebooks, etc?

I use an audible and a podcast app, but I can check the storage space of both the app and its downloads in Lumia storage check. The extra space shows up as as media and files.

Yeah, sounds as though the streaming apps aren't clearing their cached data.

I'd recommend deleting those apps and reinstalling. Hopefully that will force the clearing of the buffers.

Would adding an SD card allow the podcasts to be stored on that?

After deleting both apps and restarting I'm at 7.1gb of other.
