Outlook incorrectly merging emails?

I have my personal gmail account set up via activesync.

Today, I got two different emails with the subject line "Happy Thanksgiving". One was from my uncle, another from one of my dart league teammates. When I look at gmail via a browser, the messages are separate, but when I look at the message on my 920, the message from my uncle shows up with replies between my dart league. Anyone seen a similar problem?

Sure, the conversational sorting on Outlook mobile is good, but not infallible. It will occasionally incorrectly group separate messages with the same subject line.
