outlook not notifying of new emails

Hi,

I just configured outlook with my gmail account on my saga. I have it set to where outlook will notify me of emails every 5 minutes. However, I'm not getting any notifications at all of new incoming emails. I know all my information is set up correctly, because if i do a manual send and receive the emails do show up on the phone. Is there any other setting that I need to change in the phone itself for outlook to automatically notify me? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
