Outlook refuses to accept Adobe as my default pdf viewer

I have made Adobe my default for opening pdf files. No matter how many times I click the box to make it my default, it keeps asking me what app i want to use? It is my default app for Windows 10.

I've been having this issue with Outlook since I updated Windows 10 to 1803. Not sure that there is a fix right now.
