Pen sensitivity when making subtle strokes

I just got my surface pro 4 and tested out the pen. In general it's great, however I feel you have to press quite hard for a stroke to appear, you can't just sketch lightly. I've tried changing sensitivity in the surface app, but that doesn't change the initial press to register.

Is this normal? Something I need to get used to? Or can I change this somewhere?

EDIT: I wiggled the nib of the pen a bit and now it's much more sensitive to light strokes. Guess that solved my problem.
