Pen works, but screen not responsive to it.

I bought the Surface Pro 4 last weekend and have been using it daily.

This afternoon while using it the pen became unresponsive. I can click the eraser to bring up onenote and double click to screen capture. But i can't select anything with the pen end.

I have the i5 surface Pro 4. And with the exception of a few ignorable problems (screen flickered off once, some apps randomly close) I havent had any issues with it.

I have tried shutting down and restarting. I have taken the battery out and put it back in but, as i said, the clicker end works. I have updated all the latest updates but still nothing.

Anyone have any ideas?

If reboot doesn't help then something must be broken: either the pen or the digitizer in the tablet itself. The button uses Bluetooth, so it is unaffected. If you have a Microsoft Store in your area, just take it there and they will check. If not, just take it to any store that sells Surfaces and try a different pen. (You don't even have to pair it.) This way you will know if the problem is with the pen or with the tablet itself.
