People app and Phone app crash when Google Contacts are synced

I updated to build 10080.12562 a few days back..

As soon I sync Google contacts in this new build, the people app and the phone app start to crash immediately when they are opened.. After I factory resetted once it was working good, but as soon as I synced my Google account again, it crashed.

This has rendered my phone almost useless since I am unable to make calls now and all my contacts are in my google account

Are there any workarounds for this(apart from having to import the contacts from google manually)?

If you have whatsapp you could try to use the contact list from whatsapp.
Or maybe some contacts are still on your SIM card so you could import them.
Or if you still have your old android you could try the Transfer my data app.

Been dealing with the same issue. I first thought it was because of twitter, LinkedIn and skype. After about 5 "reset phone" i realized it was google accounts.

I've just decided to import contacts from google as i wait for the issue to be resolved. :eck:

Ya for me also using lumia 820 with w10 preview.People app crashes.Also voice guidance is not there in apps.

Two weeks since this issue started to occur, the crashes have become random..
Sometimes the Contacts app crashes.. sometimes it doesn't.

I have been using TrueDialer as a temporary measure till this gets resolved.
