People hub crashing

It seems this is the first time I am facing the issue. The contacts in the people hub take awful lot of time to load. I have only hotmail and facebook synced... Does anyone have a solution!!!

Yes. I have the latest update. The problem started a couple of days back. I am on Lumia denim update 2- the latest too...

Not sure if Lumia Denim Update 2 can be considered "the latest update".

Anyway, did you try restarting your phone, or performing a soft reset?
