Phone backup better ? Mainly app and game settings/saves

Hey all,

In the rumor mill that was going around for a while on WP 8.1, there was a App settings backup. I would be very interested if we can FINALLY backup save games to the cloud (kind of like my 360 and Xbox one does). Also, general app settings would be great too. I would not be afraid if I had to hardreset my phone or if I lose/gets stolen, as my data and game saves would be "safe".

Does anyone have any idea if this is actually coming or any details where they state that ?

I really HOPE this is coming...

Thanks but, no, that is about backing the tiles, color and image used in the back. I am talking about all app settings, like save games and other application settings, not just the tiles

What about this?

The latest from BUILD 2014 is that Windows Phone 8.1 will now automatically back up the isolated storage of 3rd party apps to OneDrive.

Isolated Storage will be backed up once per day. The data used will not count towards your OneDrive allotment.


The start screen will also be backed up and can be restored across devices, much like on Windows 8.
